what is the best age to sleep train?

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, "Babies do not have regular sleep cycles until about 6 months of age. While newborns sleep about 16 to 17 hours per day, they may only sleep 1 or 2 hours at a time. As babies get older, they need less sleep. However, different babies have different sleep needs. It is normal for a 6-month-old to wake up during the night but go back to sleep after a few minutes." In my opinion, you can begin Sleep Shaping your child from newborn to 6 months. At around 6 to 9 months, after your pediatrician gives you the go ahead, you can begin sleep coaching.

can you help me teach my child to sleep?

In order to know if working together is a good fit, we will need to speak on the phone. I will ask you lots of questions about what’s not working for you now, what you want in the future.

how does your sleep program work?

I offer in-home and phone Sleep Coaching Programs, where you are guided on how to implement your personalized sleep plan.

do you work with families out of new york state?

Yes, I have worked with families from all over the world.

how do I know if you can really help me?

We will talk on the phone to be sure that it is a good fit. I will only accept you as a client if I am confident that I can help you. Please see reviews from previous clients.

what sleep training method do you use?

I have coined my method of sleep coaching as, "Attachment Theory Based Sleep Coaching". Every child is unique. Each has their own temperament to take into consideration and every family dynamic is different. I work at learning all I can about the families I work with. Once we have extensively gone through a family’s history form, we figure out the best approach at sleep coaching. Working with a sleep training book or a sleep trainer that only communicates through a limited number of calls and/or communication only through email or text can be very frustrating. That is why I only work directly with families over a period of weeks. I want to be available when things go off track.

what age children do you work with?

I help families with families with children anywhere between 6 months to 12 year of age.

how long will it take to sleep train?

If your baby is healthy and you can follow the detailed sleep coaching instructions, your baby could be sleeping in two to four weeks. For some families it can take more time.

if i think i would like to work with you, what are the next steps?

If you sense that working with me may be a good fit for you, request a complimentary call here. In this call you will get clear about what you want, what is standing in your way, and if I can help you and your family.
